The Industry Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) was established at SSM institute of Engineering and Technology in the year 2014 with a view to bridge the gap between the industrial expectation and academic expertise. There has always been a lacuna which goes, most often than never, unaddressed by the academics and syllabus when comes to industrial expectations and corporate challenge. It is imperative for a student to have a good exposure on the nuances of the industrial expectation and requirements. The III cell of SSMIET provides closer links with the industries which provide students with good insights about the latest industrial practices and also help the faculty to guide the students for the corporate challenge. On the other hand, Industries are able to know recent developments and inventions in their fields and implement projects for technologically driven economy.
- To establish good rapport with Industries
- To promote various industrial visits by faculty and students
- To bring in MoUs with industries and various research organizations effecting healthy interactions
- To facilitate programmes and guest lectures by experts from industry
To evolve programmes pertinent to the requirements of the industry.
The cell has been constituted in November 2014 with a faculty-in-charge and one faculty from each department. The members of the cell for the year 2017 -2018 are given hereunder:
